Snowdrops are one of the earliest bloomers of the growing season. There are about 20 different species of snowdrops and they are all white. They sometimes emerge while the snow is still on the ground. Some snowdrop species are threatened in their wild habitats, and in most countries it is now illegal to collect bulbs from the wild. Watch out!!!The whole plant is poisonous but especially the bulbs.
